The Aim of Yaya African Art Gallery, London is to create awareness, promote and give an exposure to African artists work ‘Now’, put it on the world stage alongside artists from other continents, the West in its wider context and give long overdue credit to Africa the inspiration of 20th century Art. 

Art has always been an essential element in Africa reflecting the culture people, religion and environment: the many Gods were carved out of wood to represent the essence of the divine creator in its multiple meanings.
